"Brittany will approach your birth with confidence, knowledge, and care, helping you understand your labor as a series of decisions and not reactions. When we were scared, she clarified the process for us. When we had to troubleshoot, she already had options for us in her head. Our birth was excellent for so many reasons, but Brittany was a HUGE component of it."

Being one of six children, and having a large extended family, I was constantly surrounded by pregnancy and children. To me, pregnancy and childbirth are a natural and beautiful part of life, and I’ve always felt called to work with new families. After the birth of my first daughter in 2010, I couldn’t get enough information about pregnancy, birth, and babies. I realized that supporting families through their birthing and parenting journey was what I wanted to do, so I attended doula training with DONA International in November of 2010. I attended my first birth, followed very closely by my second, in March of 2011. I knew without a doubt after these births that I was doing exactly what I was supposed to.
I became certified with DONA in December of 2011, and have since had the chance to experience a wide variety of births, and continue to learn so much from each family I serve. Through my work as a doula, I’ve maintained a strong passion to help birthing people and their families. I have been teaching childbirth classes since September of 2011, and am a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, Fellow of the Academy of Childbirth Educators, CBI Certified Birth Doula, certified HypnoBirthing doula, Child Passenger Safety Technician, and previously Certified Dancing For Birth ™ instructor.
I believe that birth should be treated as an awe-inspiring and unique event. Birth is a normal process and every birthing person deserves the best education and information so they can make informed decisions about their pregnancy and birth. Having a positive birthing experience, confident help and support throughout this amazing, and sometimes challenging experience, helps parents to more gracefully step into the next chapter of their life: parenthood.
